We have done many theft cases and never had our any of our clients had to plea guilty in a theft charge. Theft conviction may prevent certain type of employment and may affect you for the rest of your life. It is crucial to early in the case develop a strategy to avoid a conviction, regardless of the evidence the state/city may have against you. Irrespective of the facts of your case, other options such as compromise of misdemeanor (i.e., the case is dismissed) or stipulated order of continuance (SOC) or deferred prosecution may be available in your case.
